About
Attorney Edward E. Reicin has enjoyed a full and diverse professional life since graduating from the University of Illinois College of Law with his Juris Doctor. For many years, he served as Managing Partner at the Illinois-based firm Fordon, Reicin, West and Rosenbloom. Ed Reicin accepted the role of President at MPC Containment International, Ltd. in 1975, a company that manufactures collapsible storage tanks for the military and pollution-control sectors. In addition, Edward E. Reicin served as President of M. Putterman & Co. LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of athletic equipment. At these companies, Edward E. Reicin accomplished many feats, including building huge revenues and managing large staffs of more than 200 employees. A private equity company bought both of these organizations in 2007, but Edward E. Reicin remains as a Private Consultant, a post in which he is responsible for sales and securing military contracts.
Today, Edward E. Reicin continues to enjoy his professional responsibilities, and also finds additional time to pursue his other passion, which is singing opera. Edward Reicin is proud to receive instruction from voice teachers Margaret Harshaw and Winifred Brown, and he has performed many roles, including Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata; Pistola in Falstaff; Commendatore in Don Giovanni; The Bonze in Madame Butterfly; and Sarastro in the Magic Flute. As Development Chairman of the Central Region Metropolitan Opera Council, Edward E. Reicin lends support to this organization, which offers an orchestra, an opera, a ballet, a chorus, and children’s programs.
In addition to his work in the theater of opera, Edward E. Reicin belongs to a host of legal groups, including the American Bar Association; the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association; the American Judicature Society, an organization that strives to maintain the courts’ integrity and independence, as well as educate the public on the workings of the justice system; and the Decalogue Society of Lawyers, a bar association that consists of attorneys who wish to maintain ties with the Jewish people.
